Lotus Rising Institute

Yoga for Life | The Embodied Teacher Pathway

A series of immersive trainings for yoga teachers, seekers and lifelong students who feel called to deepen both the art and practice of living and teaching yoga.

Returning to the heart of yoga as a lived practice of awareness, embodiment and devotion.

There comes a point in every teacher's journey where another 200-hour training isn't what we're looking for. We're looking for depth. We're looking for practices that continue to shape us long after the weekend has finished. We're looking for spaces where philosophy becomes something we can live, where science deepens rather than replaces ancient wisdom, and where teaching becomes an authentic expression of our own practice.

For many of us, yoga began on a mat. Perhaps through movement. Perhaps through breath. Perhaps because life asked us to find another way.

And somewhere along the path we realised that yoga was never asking us to become more flexible, more spiritual, or even more knowledgeable. It was quietly asking us to become more present. To know ourselves a little more honestly. To notice the places where we grasp, where we resist, where we lose ourselves, and gently return again.

Over time, I have come to believe that the deepest teachings of yoga are not found in how much we know, but in how we live. Not in how beautifully we speak about philosophy, but in how we meet another human being. Not in how many trainings we have completed, but in our willingness to remain a student.

The Lotus Rising Institute has grown from that understanding. Not from a desire to create more trainings. But from a desire to create a place where practice could continue to unfold over a lifetime.

The Embodied Teacher Pathway

The Embodied Teacher Pathway has been created for yoga teachers, seekers and lifelong students who wish to continue walking the path. Each immersion explores a different doorway into the same inquiry, because although we may begin with the breath, philosophy, trauma, fascia or business, they are all pointing towards the same place.

What does it mean to live and teach as an embodied expression of consciousness?

Not as an idea. Not as something to strive towards. But as something we remember, again and again, through practice.

Each immersion can be completed individually or as part of the wider pathway, allowing you to follow the areas that call to you most deeply, or experience the curriculum as a complete journey.

The Practice Immersions

Pranayama & Mantra | Breath • Energy • Vibration • Presence

25-Hour Immersion | November 2026 | In Person

Breath has always been understood as the bridge between body, mind and consciousness. Within the yogic tradition it is far more than respiration; it is the movement of life itself. Through the study of prāṇāyāma and mantra we explore the relationship between breath, energy, vibration and awareness, allowing these practices to become lived experiences rather than techniques to perform.

Topics explored include

  • History and philosophy of Pranayama

  • Breath anatomy and physiology

  • The Five Vayus

  • Nadis and the subtle body

  • Breath and nervous system regulation

  • Traditional Pranayama practices

  • Japa Meditation

  • Teaching Pranayama safely and confidently

Yin Yoga & Myofascial Release | Stillness • Fascia • Integration

25-Hour Immersion | In Person 2027

Business in Alignment | Workshops • Retreats • Leadership

25-Hour Online Immersion | 2027

At some point many teachers begin asking a different question. Not How do I teach another class? But... How do I create meaningful experiences that genuinely transform people's lives? Together we explore how to build a values-led business that feels aligned, sustainable and deeply authentic.

25-Hour Immersion | In Person | 2027

The final immersion brings together everything explored throughout the pathway. As our own practice deepens, so too does our capacity to hold space for others. Together we explore how contemporary understandings of trauma can sit alongside the timeless wisdom of yoga, supporting teaching that is compassionate, responsive and grounded in relationship.

Topics explored include

  • Understanding trauma

  • Polyvagal Theory

  • The Window of Tolerance

  • Attachment theory

  • Somatic awareness

  • Neuroception

  • Consent and agency

Although each immersion explores a different aspect of yoga, they are all woven together through the same five threads.

Philosophy - Honouring the wisdom traditions while exploring their relevance in contemporary life.

Practice - Cultivating direct experience through movement, breath, meditation, mantra and self-inquiry.

Science - Bridging ancient teachings with anatomy, physiology, neuroscience, psychology and trauma-informed understanding.

Teaching - Developing the confidence, discernment and skills to share these teachings with clarity, humility and integrity.

Integration - Because the purpose of yoga is not simply to understand the teachings. It is to live them.
