CET 25HR Yogic Philosophy, Consciousness & Sacred Archetypes

A Journey into the Inner Sciences of Yoga

A 25-Hour Online Practice Immersion

Commencing November 11, 2026

10 x Weekly 2.5hr Live Online Sessions

Yoga offers us an extraordinary map of what it means to be human. Rather than approaching philosophy as something to memorise, we explore it as something to live.

The teachings become mirrors rather than doctrines, inviting us into deeper inquiry, greater discernment and a more intimate relationship with ourselves.

Yoga has always been asking a different question. Not... "How do I become a better version of myself?" But... Who am I beneath everything I believe myself to be?

Long before yoga became known for movement, it was a profound inquiry into consciousness. The ancient yogis were not simply interested in stretching the body. They were exploring the nature of reality. The mind. Suffering. Identity. Awareness. Freedom. They asked questions that still feel remarkably alive today. Why do we suffer? Who is the one experiencing this life? What is consciousness? Is there something within us that remains untouched by the changing circumstances of our lives?

This immersion is an invitation into those questions. Not to find definitive answers. But to begin living them.

Philosophy Was Never Meant To Live In Books For many people, yogic philosophy can feel overwhelming.

Ancient texts. Unfamiliar Sanskrit. Concepts that seem distant from everyday life. Yet these teachings were never intended to remain intellectual. They were practical maps for living. Maps that helped us understand the movements of the mind, the causes of suffering and the possibility of freedom.

Throughout this immersion we bridge the wisdom of the traditional teachings with contemporary understandings of psychology, neuroscience and human development, allowing philosophy to become something we can experience rather than simply study. Because philosophy only becomes meaningful when it changes the way we live.

What We'll Explore

Across 10 live online sessions we journey through some of yoga's most profound teachings, continually returning to the question: How do these teachings help us understand ourselves more deeply?

The Foundations of Yoga

  • The roots and evolution of yoga

  • The major philosophical traditions

  • The Yoga Sutras

  • Tantra and Kriya Yoga

  • Yoga as a living tradition

The Nature of the Mind

One of yoga's greatest gifts is the sophistication with which it understands the human mind.

Together we'll explore:

  • Chitta, Manas, Buddhi and Ahaṃkāra

  • Chitta Vṛtti — the fluctuations of the mind

  • Saṃskāras and Vāsanās

  • Karma and Dharma

  • The Kleshas — understanding suffering

  • Cultivating discernment and self-awareness

Understanding Ourselves

Yoga offers multiple maps for understanding the human experience.

Together we'll explore:

  • The Koshas

  • The Three Guṇas

  • Puruṣa and Prakṛti

  • Māya, Ātman and Brahman

  • The subtle body

  • The Seven States of Consciousness

Rather than treating these as abstract concepts, we'll continually explore how they reveal themselves within our own lives and practice.

Sacred Archetypes & the Yogic Deities

The gods and goddesses of yoga are often misunderstood as figures to be worshipped from afar.

Within this immersion we explore them as symbolic expressions of qualities already present within consciousness itself.

Together we'll explore:

  • Shiva and Shakti

  • Ganesha

  • Saraswati

  • Lakshmi

  • Durga

  • Kali

  • Parvati

  • Mythology as a living language of the psyche

Rather than asking whether these stories are historically true, we become curious about the truths they continue to reveal within us.

Bringing Philosophy Into Practice

The final thread running through every session is integration. How do these teachings influence the way we breathe?

The way we teach? The way we relate? The way we make decisions? The way we navigate grief, uncertainty and change?

Ultimately... How do we live yoga rather than simply talk about it?

The Way We'll Learn

This immersion has been intentionally designed as a slower unfolding. Rather than gathering for one intensive weekend, we meet over ten weeks, allowing time for reflection, practice and integration between each session.

Each week includes philosophy, discussion, meditation, self-inquiry and practical application, inviting the teachings to become lived experience rather than information to retain. Because some questions deserve time. Not simply to understand them. But to allow them to quietly reshape the way we see ourselves and the world.

The deeper I travel into these teachings, the less I experience philosophy as something to learn. It becomes something that quietly changes the way I see. The way I meet another person. The way I respond when life doesn't unfold as I had hoped. The way I understand joy. The way I understand suffering. Perhaps this has always been the purpose of philosophy. Not to give us more ideas. But to offer us another way of seeing ourselves. And from that place... another way of living.
